Cash Register - Are you experienced in running a cash register?  Do you love being “in the center” of the action? Our thrift store is always in need of great cashiers.

Merchandise placement and display - The thrift store has a wide assortment of gently used goods for sale. We have a huge clothing department, wonderful furniture, a bed and bath shop, an electronics department, kitchen department, books, crafts, antiques, and then unbelievable home and holiday decor.  If you have an interest or passion for any (or many!) of these kinds of merchandise, we will happily put you to work.

 

Security - The ESC Thrift Store has a state-of-the-art security system. We’re always looking for individuals to monitor our cameras—and help us capture the knuckleheads who occasionally try and steal from us. We have a great rapport with the Ephrata Police Department—and you will enjoy working with Ephrata’s Finest.  On occasion, we even publish videos and photos on local websites.  This is fun, creative, and rewarding work.

 

Pick-up & Delivery Service - Our thrift store provides a free pick-up and delivery service.  If you like people and enjoy driving, we have jobs for you!  The thrift store has two vehicles—a well-used pick-up truck and “The Bumblebee”, our covered delivery truck. 

 

Computer & Marketing - Are you technically gifted?  The Thrift Store always needs folks who can navigate online, looking for the best price for items.  We also need folks with a good sense of pricing—from clothes to housewares, furniture, décor, sporting goods, crystal and china, and antiques.

Every thrift store volunteer working four hours in one day enjoys a hot, free meal from the ESC kitchen.  

Volunteer hours also translate into “points” qualifying individuals for free merchandise from our store.
