Travel

The ESC has a comfortable 14 passenger, air conditioned bus that we use to travel the state of Washington. Our bus can accommodate two wheelchair passengers. We have regularly scheduled trips—and we also travel to new places as well.

George Bluegrass Jams

Each first Friday of the month, our bus travels to George, WA, for a great evening of bluegrass music. Our group joins the George musicians as they jam together. Some of our members bring instruments and join in. Others sing. Still others kick back and just enjoy the comradery and music. There is always a potluck at George—and most of our travelers bring a dish and join in the potluck dinner.  $5

Casino Trips

During non-winter months, the ESC bus travels to one eastern Washington casino venue per month.  We alternate among Mill Bay, Coulee Dam, Omak, Legends, and Snoqualmie. Occasionally, we will even travel west of the mountains. Our fee varies—based on the distance traveled—and any other charges particular to the trip.

Sightseeing Adventures

Every once in awhile, the best view of home is in the rearview mirror!  During good weather months, the ESC takes its bus on Washington road trips.  We have been on the Lady of the Lake trip to Stehekin; on a boat tour of Ross Dam on the North Cascades Highway; to the tulip fields in La Connor; to see the fall colors on a train trip in Ione and at the fall festivities in Leavenworth; to museums and meals in Ellensburg and Yakima; to live performances in Wenatchee and Spokane; and to theater in Soap Lake. Venue tickets are included in these adventures—so our travel fee includes both transportation and admission costs. Generally, meals are extra.

Socializing

Sometimes the focus of our bus trips is on the people—not the places. Frequently, our bus will travel to dances in Soap Lake and Moses Lake, and to a meal exchange in Quincy. We love to try out local restaurants – Chinese; Steakhouses; Breakfast; Buffets. We also always schedule at November Holiday Shopping trip to the Columbia Center Mall in Kennewick.
